I thought it would be easier to share this as a post rather than an answer in the comments.
What’s Nora reading? She sent me a list — that you can now add to your summer reading list:
December ’41 by William Martin. A thriller set right after Pearl Harbor.
The Golden Gate by Amy Chua. A historical police procedural/mystery, set in the 40s again. This was an ARC and will be out September 19, 2023
And a reread–for too many times to count–of Mary Stewart’s The Crystal Cave. (Which you can find in libraries and bookstores everywhere.)
Laura

Sounds good. I’ll check with my library or bookstore. 👍
Thank you
Wow! I haven’t reread the Crystal Cave series in a long time…about time to do it again!
I also love Mary Stewart and The Crystal Cave books!
The other books sound intriguing too.
I will definitely add The William Martin book to my list. My favorite of his books is Back Bay.
I keep looking but Stewart’s publisher has yet to convert her Arthurian books to Kindle or other e-book format, which is frustrating.
Oh that stinks, I have it on kindle, the Merlin trilogy in one ebook, think I got it about 10 years ago, didn’t realize that was no longer available
I love Mary Stewart. Been a long time since I have reread her work. Thanks for sharing authors- both you Laura and Nora. Gives me some new ones to explore.
Sounds like a great time in Cozumel.
I love Mary Stewart’s The Crystal Cave and the related books! One of my favorite interpretations of the Arthurian Legends.
I love the Crystal Cave!!!! 🙂
Thank you for this list. I was going to ask in my last comment. I think my mom has read The Crystal Cave. I will have to pick up all of these books, and fit them in for reading, in between Nora’s books!
I haven’t read Mary Stewart in years, but now I will! Thanks for the suggestions – they all sound good.
Loved the Crystal Cave books. Read them and reread them. Magical.
