We’re mere weeks away from the release of Fury in Death so I thought it was time to share the excerpt here. I stand by what I wrote in the cover reveal post: this one leapt into my top three when I read it a couple months ago.

This book is going to be a fast paced read! I loved the prologue and the 1st chapter. Well, we kinda know who the villain is and feel sorry for what happened to his family.

Prolonge Starts 2048…victim is 2 yrs old. First chapter is 2061. Victim is 60 plus years old. What did I miss? Or what did I read totally incorrect?
It’s two different victims. The prologue is a background to the story. Chapter one opens with a case for Eve. -Laura

Oh, wow, as soon as I started reading this I wondered. I am not saying anything else on the book itself. It’s going to be a great read. Nora never disappoints, but I will say there are 90% of her books that I regard as brilliant; not matched by any other authors. Don’t get me wrong, I am nobody special, just a major fan, but I truly respect her and her mind. Cannot wait for the book to come out. Thanks, Nora.

If I can ask a basic question: how much neon is in this version of New York City? Like does it have the same level as Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell, or do you still view it as a normal city?
