  1. Can’t wait til this is available. I really enjoy the In Depth series. Thank you Nora for writing them.

    1. Just finished it in one day. It was that good. Lived it!

  2. I love these excerpts, it gives me enough so I can’t wait for the book! Eve going to a crime scene dressed to the hilt is totally ult!!
Can’t wait for the book!! Good start to it.

  3. I can hardly wait… but I will. Looks like another intriguing crime for Dallas and co. to solve.

  4. I pre-ordered it back in August. I love the In Death series. Can’t wait for it!!!

  5. Question here – Where do the marriage rules come from?

I started reading the series with Random in Death (book 58) and then read the rest of the series as the books came available from the library, so there was no order to what book i was reading. I’m now re-reading them in order, following along with the excerpts/quotes posted on Facebook. Did the marriage rules evolve in Eve’s head, was it an agreement with Roarke, or something else?

    1. They are Eve’s creation – with Roarke adding his own points along the way. -Laura

    2. Eve’s Marriage Rules began in book 3 when she decides that love and marriage is a Promise rather than a obligation/contract.

  6. I love the measure of time described by ‘the number of sleeps’! So appropriate for Eve’s world! 😄

  7. Always look forward eagerly to the next In Death book…love the way all the characters intermix and develop

  8. Looking forward to diving into the story. Off to another great start Nora! Love Eve’s internal narrative about the party phases.

  9. I’ve loved this series for years. Always preorder on audible.

  10. The excerpt is great! Makes it hard to wait for the whole.thing. At !east Nora gets a small break in book signing for TTP.
I’m anxious to see if Number Two arrives in this book and how Bella reacts to a sibling.

Thanks Nora for giving me such glorious entertainment.

  11. Well that was FUN! Really good start, looking forward to reading the rest. Just preordered for my Kindle.

  12. Can’t wait for the new book! Its been a while since we’ve heard from either of you. I hope everyone is well and new year is off to a great start for all of you.

  13. I hope everything is alright with Nora and her family! It’s been awhile since there has been any update. Hope she had a grat holiday with family and friends!

  14. Yay! I no longer have to wait FOREVER for the latest ID book to come out in paperback. Last year I bought myself a Kindle for my birthday, and have preordered Stolen ID, so expect to have it shortly. The first 60 books I have in paperback, the next 60 will be on my Kindle.

  15. I was reluctant to read this series at first because I am that person that knows the real deal and blurt out, “That is not how we do that,” “We would never take a snitch to a crime scene”, and so on. I also do the same with Paramedic shows and books. But mostly because I hate when a female author creates a strong female character, and that character meet a guy and the next thing you know, she can’t make a move without that guy pushing her, or supporting her next “unsure” thoughts or movements. Sometimes I have those moments with these books, but I can stifle it because they make my mom happy and also it gives the people at work a talking point or laugh.
Right now we might have “a betting pool” going in regards to whom will take over the Eve/Mavis “really lucky” apartment, and who will snag the lucky Peabody apartment. If you haven’t thought about it , let me suggest Trueheart for the former, and Trina for the latter? Both pools may, if they exist, be over $500.
Also, the candy thief, I know most people think it’s Roark, but can it be Mavis? 😃

  16. I can’t see Mavis as the candy thief. I don’t think she could get into The bullpen and Eve’s office without Eve hearing about it each time and I just can’t see her doing something like that to her best friend. I’d go with Nadine , but even that’s a stretch.
