  7. I suffer from an emotional block with every second book in every trilogy ;). It never lives up for the first – that delight in getting to know the characters and the story – and is there too much time when I just want the third one to arrive. It’s childish. And in this case it won’t happen. Really looking forward for this one. In the first book these were the uh-oh and hum characters so I’m looking forward to learn what you did with – to – them.

    1. Really? I feel bad for you, because the second book, without fail, is always my personal favorite. But not every person looks for the same things in a book.

I’ve spent the last year going through and making sure I’ve read every single book, including the In Death series in order from the beginning and I just love reading your books the most out of any author I’ve known. To me, no one compares to your writing and I wish I can meet you one day just so I can tell you in person how much your writing has meant to me.

    I don’t think I’ve ever been let down by a sequel from Nora. I have with other writers though so can understand the block. In fact I think, with Nora’s, even under threat of death I’d have difficulty picking any particular trilogy as my fav, I liked them all so well.. Series is easier since Eve and Roarke are just IT. But after them…..couldn’t choose.

  12. After reading the excerpt, I had to go back and read the first one again. Counting down the days until June (is it June yet?). Re-reading Chasing Fire in the mean time and filling my days with useless things.
