    1. The bunnies have decimated the flowers in my planters. But not the Coleus. I have moved the planters, watered them a lot and sprayed them with homemade anti-bunny spray- they are slowly coming back. My Cannas are going absolutely crazy. So much so that I am going to have to move some of them, (also donate more of them to my son & his lovely wife) as they are overcrowded. Your garden is amazing and so beautiful! Thank you for sharing!

  1. What a great for the eyes! Everything looks so lush!!!
Ahhhh…sorry about The Incident….perhaps it was inspired by some one like my morning guest..a very large woodchuck! In years past, when the dog was till with us, he managed to corral one and bring it in doors…a lot of excitement ensued.
Here is Western New York State, it has been RAINY, Cooley, rainy, cool, and now Tis June and the heat is still o ! Argh.

  3. Beautiful garden! Yes, we had a wet spring also. I’m in Central NY, and we have had more sunshine in the last 3-4 days than we had for the previous 2 weeks. Everything is so green!!
I’m sure your puppy learned his lesson. He’s a beautiful doggie!

  4. Thank you for the pictures of your garden. I enjoy gardening and since I am in Florida, we have flowers most of the year. I plant mostly for pollinators.

  5. Your garden is lovely. I planted petunia’s this year. Love them and haven’t had them in a while. Thought of Eve when I planted them.

  6. Your garden looks beautiful ! I love all the different plants and flowers! I hope here in Pa. It sons stop raining too. My flowers are water logged I swear. Enjoy your trip with your family. Looking forward to pictures. Thanks for sharing!

  7. Wow, so much in your plant family! So much variety! I bet you will miss all of them when you leave. Enjoy yourself!

  8. Hi Nora,
We’re alternating between spring and summer here in Central Texas. Storms are in the forecast again. Usually our spring storms are in April and sometimes into May but this year they’re all over the calendar.
I love your gardens they’re beautiful. I was able to grow great houseplants in Germany, but came home and managed to only kill them. Nowhere to plant outside gardens.

  9. You have a lovely and whimsical garden. I love the dragons and fairies and other whimsical statues throughout. The mix of flowers and plants is beautiful, and I like that your yard appears to back up to a wooded area. A truly wonderful outdoor oasis.

  10. Where in the garden did Nora put the Angel Wings she bid on & purchased?

  11. It’s been the same here in southern Indiana. Remember how cold and rainy it was for Derby? It hasn’t changed much. The good news is that the cooler temperatures helped the spring flowers last longer. Looks like one more week of cool rainy weather then we blast into hot summer days. I’m ready for it!

  12. Just beautiful! It looks so relaxing and I can’t only imagine the hard work that goes into it.

  13. Everything looks beautiful! The rain has kept me (and my plants) happy since I didn’t have to haul out the hose. My one and only rose bush is another story. It was blooming and had several buds that should be blooming except for the fact that one or more deer decided that they looked good enough to eat and so they did! One day lots of color, the next it was all gone.
Safe travels to Ireland! I envy you!

  14. It amazes and awes me at how much work you get done daily. How do you do all you do? That garden is so impressive, knowing how much work it takes to plant never mind keep it all up. How do you keep all the balls in the air that you do?

  15. I love that you have been able to plant. Here in south Tennessee we are still trying to get our vegetable garden in. So much rain. My establishment flower gardens are doing well, but I’m looking forward to planting food:)
Enjoy Ireland, that’s on my bucket list. Can’t wait to see your next blog!
    Safe travels

  16. I need you to come design my landscape! Yours is so beautiful!

  17. Have a wonderful time in Ireland! I am going in April 2026.

  18. Wow, your garden looks so lush after all that rain! I’ve had the same struggle with my basil it always seems the saddest of the bunch. Have you tried moving it into a slightly sunnier spot or trimming back the lower leaves to help air circulation?

Also, curious about your “dog repellent” routine, do you mix something homemade or use a spray? I’m looking for gentle ways to keep deer and pups from trampling my impatiens.

Enjoy your sunshine break in Ireland, and can’t wait to see how everything grows when you’re back!

  19. I love all the dragons, orbs, fairies and such tucked into your garden.

    Two questions:
Have you considered having Griffin create a tiny fairy garden in your garden? There are some fun ones in the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens here in Vienna, Virginia.
Do you use your wonderful nasturtiums in your salads? Adds color and a nice peppery bite.

    Thanks for sharing the photos!
