I enjoyed these postings. They gave me time to think and remember or refresh my memory about the book. Villa and Ford will have many happy years rehabbing houses and cartoon writing. I look forward to the next book.
Love this way of book discussion, even if it means that I have 😉 to buy the book to reread.
There are folks who can’t resist “what if”-ing.
How about getting them stirred up by asking which supporting/minor character needs their own romance? It worked for Seth in the Chesapeake Bay series.
Definitely not saying “which story should be hijacked” because that would be annoying.
First of all Big Kudos to Laura for picking out interesting parts of the book. I loved the posting every day. I didn’t always comment but I always liked to read what others had to say I also liked revisiting a book that I hadn’t read in a while. Though I did have to go buy the e-book because my copy is in a tote somewhere. 🙂
I would have preferred every few days, during this Safe-in-Place, rather than once a week, but then I live alone, read all day; books, newspapers, magazines, etc., so I have the time.
I enjoyed this discussion every day, reading other perspectives on a story. Reminded me why I loved Tribute so much and got me to re-read Birthright as I didn’t count it as one of my favorites at the time; I have since changed my mind. Thanks Laura for giving this book discussion a try on the blog in addition to Facebook for those of us who don’t use social media much. I hope it continues!
I enjoy the dailies.
Would love Chesapeake Bay series or Bride Quartet.
Just finished CB for probably my 20th time-seriously. MY FAVORITE series from Nora. I get something new every time. Thank you, Laura for the time you invest. Stay safe and healthy. 🙂
I vote for the continuation of this blog thread with any of the Nora’s or JDR’s you choose. HEA is an important concept for my reading profile. 77 years of real life had enough grit and tragedy for me, thank you very much. You couldn’t pay me to use social media. So, I appreciate your time to give us this forum. Really enjoyed the revisit of both books so far. Thanks again for your time and effort, Laura.
Kudos to Laura for picking out the books. I like this format. I haven’t commented every time but I love reading the comments posted. I also like getting the chance to visit an older book it’s kind of like remembering old friends. I bought the ebook of this one because I didn’t have it electronically my original copy is in a tote somewhere LOL
I enjoyed your daily posts. I’m a fast reader so I finished Tribute *and* Birthright by the time you were halfway through your postings. (I realised I had them both on my Kindle after you started the Tribute postings.) I’m also retired and have no children so I have more time to read than many others. Luckily, I do have a few other authors that I read, and I re-read many of Nora’s books last year, as well as the Eve Dallas books from the beginning before #50 came out. 🙂 I’m always happy to re-read Nora’s books and it was fun to have the quotes and your questions to think about. Thank you for all the work you do, Laura, that keeps us in touch.
I like the daily posts. There might be another way to do this, but I don’t know what it would be.
I am all about the Bride Quartet books! I love that series and have reread it many, many times-my particular favorite is Vision, I love Carter. 🙂 Right now, given the current environment, I prefer the low stress reads.
