Bonded in Death marks the 60th full-length In Death novel. Kind of mind-boggling, right??

When Nora started this journey back in 1994, she couldn’t imagine the path the series would take. But I also know she still truly enjoys visiting Eve Dallas’ world twice a year.

Here’s a quick note she wrote for readers before diving back into the 62nd In Death:

As I type this, we’re only 61 days from release — February 4, 2025. So I think it’s time to share the excerpt. Before I share the link, I want to let you know two things:

First, the excerpt is the prologue. Nothing else.

Second, I will not do teasers for this book. I decided that when I read Bonded for the first time back in the late spring. It’s honestly in my personal top 3 In Deaths and I think everyone deserves to go into it cold.

    1. I have finished reading “Bonded in Death” which is number fifty five of your books that I have archived over the years. My question concerns the devious mastermind who has never been identified in any of your books. I am referring to the candy thief who has been pilfering Lt. Dallas hidden stash. Please bring this dastardly person to justice.

  7. Wow! It’s going to be a great read. I am so glad Nora continued her J. D. Robb series with Eve, Roarke, et al. Each time I read one, I feel like I’m catching up with old friends and seeing how they’re doing.

  10. I feel like Nora has been setting this up for awhile! We already met one of the other 12 besides Summerset! It was a fun read and while it was easy to guess who three of the 12 were, or you had at least a fairly good idea who they were if you are a long time reader of the series, I want to know the identities of the other players!

    I just wonder if Nora and Laura had to chose just one character out of the cast which one would it be, besides Eve and Roarke??
    I just devour and savour the books, it’s like a nice trifle with all the layers.

    Anyway, I’m guessing “Fox” is Summerset, “Fawn” is Marlena’s mother, and “Panther” is Ivanna Liski.
