  1. Oh my, yes it was cozy, but it was a scary thriller too. Suspense, thriller, family relationships. Everything in one package. Loved it.

  2. I’m just hoping my post office is competent, this month, and it arrives on time. Can’t wait! I’m actually reading Scottish Fairy Tales until it arrives

  3. I’m only on Chapter 10 but I have a huge knot in my stomach. Nora’s characteristisation is almost too good

  4. Entertaining read, characters well written. As the story unfolds, it keeps you guessing. Great insight from the beginning. Good story line. Ive always been a fan of your books, this one did not disappoint!! A page turner, Loved it!

  5. I got back from vacation late last night to find the book waiting for me at my door. After settling a bit, I dived right in. Love the heroine and the hero, the villain is properly dastardly, and the heroine’s loving family is wonderful. The dogs are a bonus – Zorro, Elvis and Isis! So far, it’s a hit out of the ball park for a home run.

    1. Her characters are always so likable. I want to be their friends. The story was very good to and kept you interested. Of course, who wouldn’t love the dog??

  6. I am on the library list ,#25 so hopefully within the next 2 weeks or so I will get to read it

  7. I’ve just finished listening to “The Final Target” and really want to thank you for the healing that this story has brought me. Years ago I was the victim of a stalker and for a while I kept turning off your book. However, knowing snd loving your strong characters, I kept going back and I’m so glad I did. LARGE THANKS, Nora. I didn’t realize there was more healing that needed to be done. Barb

  8. Loved it! Her stand alones always hit! And I’m always amazed by her variety of subjects she researches.

  9. Just finished this book. I binge the audiobook. It was my first by this author. Now I’m looking forward to more. It’s one of the best thrillers I’ve read this year. I kind of wish it wasn’t a stand alone.

Sidenote: What happened with Jamie painting?

  10. Loved it! Plowed right through it wishing I was at those family dinners! I just wish there was an epilogue with the backyard wedding!

  11. Really enjoyed the book, as I have every one of her books – though the stalker freaked me out. She draws you in. You want to be part of the families and relationships, to even just meet these people. A good story is one you think about after it’s over and this happens with every one of her books for me👏🩷

  12. Love all the comments. Nora knows how to deliver a great story and leave us wanting more. Looking forward to the next book! Congratulations on another successful book, Nora!

  13. Suspenseful!
I actually expected that they would get to The Retreat before he was stopped.
And I wondered how (and why) he became so focused on Arden. He was already laser focused on her at her first book signing.
I love that SHE stopped him.

  14. I loved it! The details of Arden’s life are so vivid and rich, so real. I reread it as soon as I finished it the first time. Thanks Nora!

  15. Almost done. Keeps your interest. Grest people in this book. Thanks for another great read Nora.

  16. Another Nora Robert’s hit. My favorite author. Loved this one. It held all the points.. love, suspense, twists and turns. Did not disappoint. Audiobook is next to hear it live and outloud. ❣️🐢🥰

  17. About half way through the Final Target…fantastic as always! I live in the Willamette Valley so am driving myself crazy trying to figure out which town RiverBend is based on.

    1. I’ve lived on Oregon’s beautiful coast and in the Valley. Knowing the area (and the roads!) made this book very real . . . but I appreciated the incredible research and artistic rendering of the area while leaving out specifics. Less of a photograph, more of a painting.

  18. Loved it! Didn’t want the story to end. Smiled when Arden “fell into the story” as she worked. Thank you Nora for another wonderful read.

  19. Nora is one of my favorite authors. I own almost all of her books, and I’ll never stop buying and reading them. This book was a great book about empowerment, healing, and strength, but it hit flat for me on the suspense and romance, both of which I wanted more of. Her character development is flawless, but part one of the book talked too much about the details of her shopping and interior of her home. I kept thinking there would be a point to the details, but it didn’t come. I did appreciate that Dustin never entered what became her new sanctuary in Oregon.

  20. Absolutely loved it. My only problem was the name of the antagonist because I know a Dustin. Can’t wait for more books.

  21. Started it on Friday and could not stop listening until it was done on Sunday. So good!

  22. January LaVoy’s audio narration just brings the mood, chills and feelings of your words to life! Loved every word of it!

  23. I found the book on the quick read table on 6/17 , at the library , I had made it down to the #3 spot on the list . I grabbed it off the quick read table & finished it this morning .
I enjoyed it . I am also curious if Nora ever thinks after she sends her manuscript out to the editors/publishers if they will like it even after all the books she has written , or if you think your readers will like it . I admit to not liking one series , & one stand alone , not saying which ones since other people like them .
There were books & series from Nora that surprised & I enjoyed it more than I thought I would . Now that this stand alone is out, I am looking forward to 2027s , I am not wishing the year away .
Thank you Nora Roberts for your writing gift , I am glad we live in a world with you sharing your gift . Thank you Laura for the social media , that is your gift 😊 I appreciate all
