  1. I feel compelled to respond to you, Nora, to say please be gentle with yourself. Life throws everyone a curveball with which best intentions compete cannot. Family comes first.
I’m sure your readers understand. A little while longer isn’t going to make a difference in the grand scheme. Take care of you.
    Rose

    1. I fully agree, Rose. Nora, please don’t tress over it. I wish I’d ordered a signed copy. I’d be happy to wait for it. I will do so on my next order. Take care of yourself.

    2. What Rose said, and I’ve also ordered the kindle version so that there is no waiting – lol

    3. That was my thought as well. This time I pre-ordered for my Kindle and it’s nestled neatly there as we speak. I knew I’d want this trilogy to reread

    4. I so agree with Rose. Take care of yourself and your family. Don’t hurt your hand with over use. We all love you and know that good things are worth waiting for. Congratulations on another already successful release! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

    5. Please take care of BW and yourself first!!!!!!!!!
      Xoxo

    6. As many others do I agree with Rose’s sentiments. Please take time you need. We are all here when you’re able to return.

    7. As someone who waits for trilogies to finish. And is late to this party. Doesn’t matter. You as the author (and as a human along with your husband) are who matter.

Signed copies of books aren’t for reading for most people. They are shelf trophies. Waiting doesn’t hurt anyone.

  2. Life Happens unfortunately, things get lost, don’t arrive on time, life gets in the way. I think that your fans have been around long enough and you have a loyal fan base that we all will cut you some slack.

  3. Life happens! You do marvellously well to achieve what you do! Please don’t stress. We, your faithful (and grateful) readers, understand you’ve done your utmost but situations can and do sometimes trip the timeline.
Happy thanksgiving and best wishes for Christmas.
    Lyn
(A long time fan and lover of your writing)

    1. Absolutely agree your loyal readers empathize with all you are going through. Be gentle with yourself and your staff.

  4. Congratulations on so much more sales! Bad thing is so much more books to sign.

  5. Sometimes life just gets in the way. Take a breath! Your books are worth waiting for! In Canada, we wait longer for your books, it just increases the anticipation. As a recent widow, take time to be with BW, those moments are priceless.

  6. I so love this message from our. It’s one of the reasons you are my most favorite author. You care, it shows!!

  7. We appreciate you and all of the staff at TTP books. We know you are working very hard. I admire your honesty and transparency about this.

  8. Please give BW my get well wishes. Life happens. All good things happens to those that wait. Thank you for giving hours of enjoyment with your books. Joann T

  9. Not a problem for me! I’ve ordered it for my daughter for her birthday next month so I’m okay. And, I also understand! Nora, we share birthday month and year…so I know it is probably getting difficult to sign so many! Just know, that we love your writings and always look forward to the next release!

  10. You need to take care of yourself and BW first. Take care, and hope BW gets well soon.

  11. Hello. You work so hard and your books are amazing. Family is super important and you did a hero’s effort on trying to get everything done by your deadline. Things happen-don’t stress about it. Have a glass of wine (or more) and relax. Your apology and statement was great and thank you. Take some “me time”. Your readers will still be here and still love you/your books. Happy Thanksgiving too.

  12. Love you Nora and Laura. Your team busts their butts to care for so many of us fans. Grace, grace, grace. Happy Holidays, please rest some for yourselves.

I do think this is the best trilogy in a long time!!!! I have loved this one very much. PS Everyone needs a BFF like Cleo!

  13. As always you are gracious and approachable and human…..don’t beat yourself up over something out of your control. You are doing everything possible to hurry books along. Since this is the first time in 30 years (I’m stunned it’s the first time as you are coordinating with the USPS) some fans won’t receive their books on publication date you and Turn The Page are surely forgiven. I expect Turn The Page is as ruthlessly organized as you. Have a lovely holiday with your family.

  14. No worries Nora – you are going above and beyond for us readers. I have all the books in Kindle pre-order as you have too many books for me to store 😆

Please take time for yourself and family ❤️

  15. I am sure all your fans appreciate the heartfelt message from you Nora. Please do not beat yourself up over this but it sure shows us all how much these things mean to you. Very glad to hear BW is healing well. Please do not push yourself to hurt your hand. You are the best and I cannot wait to open my Christmas gift to myself with the cookbook. Have not even peeked.
    Regards,
    Coleen

  16. Nora no need for an apology. It sounds as if you’ve had your hands full for months and you’re doing the very best you can. Remember that family always comes first and I’m wishing BJ a speedy recovery as well as your poor hand. Have a wonderful girl’s night out and a Happy and wonderous Thanksgiving.

  17. Nora, I don’t usually respond to these notes from you but I wanted you to know I can’t even begin to feel the stress you must have at this time. You are an amazing woman, author, friend, wife, mother, grandmother. Be gentle with yourself. Family always comes first. Your faithful readers love you and understand. Now that I live in Maryland, I hope I can make it GNO one of the days. I love visiting TTP. Remember to take care of you, too. Your birthday twin, Eileen

  18. Thank you, for trying so hard to give your readers so much. Personally, wait a week, or a month, to send mine out. I would rather you sign my book with joy in your heart and pride, after being able to care for yourself and your family. A few weeks won’t change anything (for me). I hope you get rest and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! Thank you again for the Herculean effort and the amazing stories!

  19. You do not need to apologize! Thank you for consistently writing books that are so fun to read that they inspire countdowns to the next release date. Also, your husband had spinal surgery-which is significant. Prayers for his speedy recovery and gratitude for your commitment to your craft.

  20. Nora
Life has taught me that despite best laid plans…excrement happens. It has also taught me in these moments we must lean into not only supporting others but supporting oneself. Be gentle with yourself. Take a breath. Know you are loved and admired by many.

  21. Don’t be too hard on yourself , you have given us such beautiful books to read . I’m actually reading the seven rings now I pre ordered it a few months ago through Amazon kindle , and it was in my kindle ( yes I looked at midnight ) by morning 18/11/25
    So thank you 🙏
I’m only new to the J.D.Robb books so I have lots of reading to do . Again thank you 🙏 for your wonderful books 📚

  22. Nora, give yourself grace. The main (really only) thing that is important is your husband being OK and recovering. Nothing else matters. Blessed be❤️

  23. No worries. I read first on my Kindle so tonite is yours.

    1. I’m somewhere in your stack of books to be signed and I can definitely wait, especially now that I know I shouldn’t call Monday to be sure my order wasn’t lost! I’m sure the TTP staff will appreciate one less call. Take care of family and enjoy Thanksgiving! I have no problem being patient for a few more weeks. Life happens to us all.

      Dawn

  24. Nora,

First, thank you for sharing this. I can only imagine the work, coordination, and care that goes into every signed preorder — and how hard it must be for you and the team to feel like you’re letting anyone down.

I ordered on Kindle and Audible this time, so I’m not one of the many waiting on a physical copy. But my heart goes out to the readers who are, and my appreciation goes to you and the TTP staff for everything you do.

Please know that your readers — myself included — are grateful. Grateful for your storytelling, grateful for every moment you spend crafting your books, and grateful for the TTP staff who work so hard to make these experiences special.

And please know this too: taking care of yourself and your team matters far more than any missed deadline — at least to me.

Your stories are always worth the wait. ❤️

    — Lori

  25. Nora! You give us all so much of your talent and time! You need to make some time to care for Nora as you care for your family. Your books are so worth waiting for! Please have a restful and wonderful time with your family. We are grateful for you and will wait until you are ready!
    Thank you for everything!!!!

  26. Nora,
Relax! Family comes first, always!!! We, your fans, can be patient! It is a virtue after all. Do not burn yourself out!
    Be Blessed!!!

  27. Stop kicking yourself, I will be happy whenever you get it done. Things happen and if we don’t understand this to bad. I love your books so no worries from me.

  28. Your doing great hun.. Keep your head up high, life happens to all of us .. We just need to learn more patience on how things are done..

  29. I’m happy to hear the BW is doing ok after surgery.
Can you or Laura post when you are caught up? So those of us who are behind on ordering can wait. And order when you all are ready.

  30. Life intrudes. Please give yourself a break. You are one of the hardest working authors and your stories are well worth waiting for.
    Your fans will wait.
Wishing you a (slightly less stressful) and wonderful holiday season.
Thank you for your wonderful characters and your stories. ❤️🦃

  31. I’m sure your fan base will understand that life throws curve balls periodically. Don’t overdo it.

  32. We love you, Noran and bt extension, the team at TTP and your family. Please know that a little disappointment is okay for your fans. We can take it and your words are ALWAYS worth the wait.

  33. Nora
Please just take care of your better half and yourself. That is the most important thing you can do. Not one of your legion of readers will be disappointed in getting one of your books a little late. Truly just take care of yourself
    Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

  34. Family always comes first and your books are worth waiting for. Give yourself a break. Thank you for all your efforts on our behalf. Take care of you and yours and have a wonderful holiday.

  35. Nora! We LOVE you and TOTALLY understand you have a life. You write AMAZING stories, if they are a bit late…it makes them even more special.
HAPPY Thanksgiving to you and yours!

  36. It’s’ ok sweet lady, I’m in the middle of re-reading book 1 and now book 2 to refresh my mind before book 3 gets here! Life gets crazy sometimes! I will never be upset when one of your new releases are late, because I have so many of your fabulous books at my disposal to read…. Over and over! You’re the absolute best!! ❤️

  37. bad news is you are retiring or someone is sick or worse. this is a merely a blip in our lives.
one more week or month is not going to make or break anyone’s lives and you NEED those hands!
take care, do the best you can without injuring yourself and your fans will be here.

oh and happy thanksgiving in advance.

  38. No problem. It just extends the anticipation a bit longer. Glad to hear BW is recovering well from his surgery. Take care of yourself. Thank you to you and all of the staff at TTP. ❤️

  39. Be gentle with yourself! I wasn’t able
To start reading for a couple of weeks so if it turns out my book is one of those delayed, that’s okay!

  40. Life happens. You do an extraordinary job as it is. Thief is just a glitch, which it sounds as if you have devised a competent solution.

    Have a fantastically, wonderful Thanksgiving!

  41. Take care of yourself. I know that I’d rather wait a week then to find out you hurt your hand or became exhausted. You have been my favorite author for many years.

  42. Nora, I hear your frustration in your message. Please know we your readers enjoy whatever you produce! Take time to relax your hand!!

  43. Life happens, please we can be patient and understanding. Be well!

  44. Nora, nothing is more important than BW’s health right now. My husband had spinal surgery in 2020. It was a complete success and I hope the same for BW. Any true fan of yours will understand. God bless.

  45. Please be gentle with yourself, Nora and know I am patient in waiting for my copies from TTP of the cookbook and the final book in the Lost Brides series. It’ll make it so much sweeter when I do get my preorders from there. Take care of yourself and BW and know your readers understand.

  46. Life happens. We are your dedicated readers and any book written by you is a book worth waiting for. You give us so much of yourself in your books and I am so grateful and thankful that you share your talents with us through your writing.
This is the hardest time of year for me, as the anniversary of my 32 year old daughter’s death is coming soon (December 2nd). It will be 5 years without her this year, but I have your new book to look forward to, and I am able to lose myself in your stories, so thank you.
I hope you and your family have wonderful holidays together this season.

  47. Nora, I am sure your fans will wait. I haven’t even started the series yet since I am reading another one that is completed. Plus I have yet to order a signed copy.

Sending many blessings for a wonderful Thanksgiving.

    Valarie

  48. Hi Nora, happy release day!! I hope Bruce continues to recover well and that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Life happens and all the best laid plans can be thrown out no matter how hard we try otherwise.
    Sending love from Australia 🇦🇺

  49. Be good to you. If this is the worst thing to happen, we’re incredibly privileged.

  50. Dear Nora:

Life happens. You got this. Thank you. Hope BW is on the mend.

    Cheers, and happy holidays.

  51. We all understand how life sometimes jumps up and kicks our best intentions in the butt. So be kind to yourself and do what you can. Taking care of family is the most important thing and many of us long time readers know that. So take care of your “book signing hand.
Have a happy Thanksgiving… and thanks for the great stories…💜💜

  52. Don’t burn yourself out Nora I know how life happens and how things unexpected happens. Take you time we’ve waited this long we can wait just a litte longer.

  53. Please take care of you and yours. So many have said it so well, before me. Wishing you and yours much good health. Everything will turn out okay. I swear!

  54. This is just the perfect excuse to order it on audible. Oh wait I already did that. I’ll get my copy later and be none the worse for it. I’ve been a fan since Rafe McKade. I can wait. Have a happy Thanksgiving with your family. You and your staff work incredibly hard for our enjoyment. Give yourself and them some grace please.

  55. Take care of yourself and BW. I’ve been thru 7 back surgeries and can attest it ain’t no cakewalk.

  56. Ms Nora – Life throws everyone a curve ball now and then. If people get upset about a day or two or a week delay, I say throw them a curve ball in the words of Eve – ‘Bite me’. I’m okay with waiting, because life has thrown me a series of curve balls, and I understand.
    Love your books!!

  57. Agree with Rose. Family comes first. Don’t over do it. I will be excited when I get your book as always. Please take care of yourself and BJ! ❤️

  58. Do not exhaust yourself! It’s important for you to get some rest yourself so your holidays aren’t ruined. Six tubs is probably at least one too many! People will just need to realize you’re only one person who’s got many irons in the fire right now. Nobody’s ever died from receiving a book a bit later than expected. Best wishes to you and yours!

  59. I think your being too hard on yourself, you have your man getting serious surgery and is
laid up,all those books your having to sign after a full day’s work, you have far too much
to do,if you don’t get a rest yourself, you will be the next one flat on her back.
I am sure all the ladies will understand if you have to take a time out.please look after yourself Nora.
My best regards to a dedicated Author.

  60. With all that you do for us? I know I’m not one of the ones but don’t sweat it I’m sure everyone will agree and I’ll admit those that don’t they don’t deserve your wonderful books. Life happens take care of yourself first hand. We like to have you around a while. Don’t overdo yourself or we’re just going to have to clone you and have one of those phones be the one that signs all the books. Makes me think of your icove JD Robb books

  61. That is a lot to deal with. All you can do is your best. I’m so glad you write. Been a fan since Hot Ice. ✌️😘

  62. We love you and the staff at TTP. ❤️ We can wait. ❤️❤️

  63. That is a lot to deal with. All you can do is your beat. I’m so glad you write. ✌️😘

  64. I wish you wouldn’t worry. I’ll wait for the book and if you can’t sign it that’s alright. It’s not worth the stress and upset. Things happen to us all and you deal the best you can. Please don’t let it upset you or stress you. Always take care of yourself and family first. Signing 6 tubs of book a night sounds painful. Take care

  65. Thank you, Nora and TTP team. Glad BW is healing well. No matter when my book arrives, it will be a good story. Gives me more time to reread the first two!!! 😊😊

  66. I will echo what everybody else saying. In a world where we have hungry children, and so much ugliness going on all around us in the scheme of things this is not the end of the world. I ordered both the hardcopy signed as well as the audible version. I am currently thoroughly enjoying the audible version and will be tickled when the book comes in and I can hold my hands and read it once again. You take care of you and have a beautiful Thanksgiving.

  67. I agree with Rose. Take care of yourself dear Nora and BW as well. Life happens and it’s alright. Give your hand some rest. We all love you and the books Give us. Thank you

  68. I agree with Rose. Also, you can never replace the excited anticipation of waiting for something, once you’ve received it. Waiting for a long anticipated new book is better than waiting for Christmas in my opinion.

  69. Your books are always worth waiting for! I can always re-read your other books I love.
And as others have said, be gentle with yourself.
    Happy Thanksgiving

  70. Girl, about this time Clover would play “Let it be” so please do that. All will work itself out all in good time. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

  71. I landed here after wondering where my book is, and I want you and the team to know that I’m taking this opportunity to reread the series and extend the hype. Please take care of yourself, rest your signing hand, and enjoy this holiday week. Waiting is half the fun!!

  72. I live in Australia and bought my highly anticipated copy of The Seven Rings – the Lost Bride Trilogy. WOW! Absolutely fabulous and so well worth the wait. It kept me on the end of my seat right to the end, I was there going through the mirror with Sonya and Owen.
Well Done Nora (I hope you don’t mind me addressing you with your first name. This is my first time of writing and am not registered for this site).
My hope is that one day in the future The Lost Bride Trilogy will come up as a serialised TV program. It would be wonderful to see the characters, the mansion and all the surrounding scenery. This would be the “icing on the cake” !
I shall be looking forward to reading “In Death” in the New Year. My introduction to your books was the Born of Fire series – again a tremendously enjoyable series.
All the best to you, Nora, and your family and for 2026.
Happy Christmas to You All as well.
    Barb.
