  1. Absolutely beautiful garden! As I’m a Sunflower lover, I was very interested to see you had planted “false” sunflowers. I’ve never heard of them, but would love to plant these next year, if I can find them here. Do they have another name (Latin or botanical)?
Thanks for sharing these pictures with us.

      1. Thanks so much, Nora. Appreciate it. I’ll see if they have Oxeye at our local nursery.
        Blessings.

  2. My husband designed and planted our garden and I get to enjoy the fruits of his labors! That is my place to read, pray and enjoy! Thanks for sharing your garden!

  3. Just beautiful!

I am retired so this is not only my weekend regimen but my daily one.

I sit on my back porch and listen to audio CDs. I am currently enjoying The Collector and assume that the trip to Tuscany, in the book, was the result of Nora’s trip to Italy a year ago? Its wonderful BTW.

  4. Gorgeous pictures, thanks! I don’t know if it’s a regional thing, but I have an ancient snake plant that I’ve always known as a mother-in-law’s tongue.

      1. Yes my mom also called it mother-in-law tongue and when mom passed away I took the almost dead plant and am coaching it back to life for mom. Mom, unlike me had a green thumb. If it should die I will replace it with like in memoriam.

  5. Beautiful garden ! I love this time of year when all the flowers and plants are flourishing . I have pink, and purple petunias , and a basket of mini petunias, and 2 pots of yellow petunias, and dianthus, and some gorgeous pink with green, and purple with deep red coleus this year, love them all !

  6. so pretty. Thanks for sharing. Wish I could grow something! Not my forte.

  7. The botanical name for snake or mother in law’s tongue is Sansevaria –

  8. What a beautiful place to enjoy after working hard all day! Thanks so much for sharing this part of yourself!

  9. Oh, my gosh! This is beautiful! Love the use of containers. I see your dill has run wild. So has mine – though I unfortunately did not have the foresight to use a container for mine!

    Thanks for sharing!

  10. Gardening is one of the few things I love as much as reading an “In Death” book. Thank you for sharing your garden. I am so tickled to read how Eve is learning to enjoy hers.
