Stars of Fortune — cover and synopsis

Stars of Fortune coverIt’s never too early to plan, is it?  So mark your calendar for November 3, 2015 (in the US and Canada) for the start of The Guardians Trilogy.  I’ve only been able to bug bits and pieces of the whole out of the creator, but it sounds like we’re going to have a fabulous time meeting the Guardians.

Synopsis below.

Laura

To celebrate the rise of their new queen, three goddesses of the moon created three stars, one of fire, one of ice, one of water. But then they fell from the sky, putting the fate of all worlds in danger. And now three women and three men join forces to pick up the pieces…

Sasha Riggs is a reclusive artist, haunted by dreams and nightmares that she turns into extraordinary paintings. Her visions lead her to the Greek island of Corfu, where five others have been lured to seek the fire star. Sasha recognizes them, because she has drawn them: a magician, an archaeologist, a wanderer, a fighter, a loner.

All on a quest.

All with secrets.

Sasha is the one who holds them together—the seer. And in the magician, Bran Killian, she sees a man of immense power and compassion. As Sasha struggles with her rare ability, Bran is there to support her, challenge her, and believe in her.
But Sasha and Bran are just two of the six. And they all must all work together as a team to find the fire star in a cradle of land beneath the sea. Over their every attempt at trust, unity, and love, a dark threat looms. And it seeks to corrupt everything that stands in its way of possessing the stars……

  1. Absolutely love Nora’s trilogies! Just finished the Cousins O’Dwyer (I know, I know, I’m behind in my reading, but saved them up to read one at a time). Now almost done Whiskey Beach. Can’t wait to have these new ones to look forward to. It sounds amazing! Thanks for the synopsis.

    1. You have way more discipline than I do. I have to read them when I get them and I have to get them when they come out.

  2. Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow! This sounds awesome! Nora can make a person feel that hot sand, those sea breezes and, best of all, believe. Looking forward to this!

  3. I love all her books. Please continue to share your gift.

  4. Sounds wonderful, but with being in New Zealand, I guess I have a longer wait.

  5. Wow, Nora, you’re such a prolific writer. Do you ever sleep?? I love everything you do, but your ‘Big’ novels are my favorite. Please keep writing!

  6. Sounds like a great read! Can’t wait for it first book to come out!

  7. So very excited for this newest adventure! Currently reading The Liar. Awesome as always.

  8. I absolutely love reading Nora Roberts/JD Robb! I feel like an addict waiting for my next fix when a release date is announced!

  9. CAN NOT WAIT!!!!! Rereading some of my favorites now til I can get my hands on the next new Nora/JD Robb release.

    1. Laura, has the date been pushed back a week? Penguin’s website lists the release date as 3 November.

      1. No, it’s the other way. We originally had 11/11, but 11/3 is correct. Thanks for the catch!

        Laura

  10. Looking forward to them. My favs would have to be the Bride Quartet Series. Would you ever write something with those characters in them. Maybe having babies or grown kids.

  11. Oh, I can’t wait. And I LOVE that it’s set in Corfu – my parents spent several months there on vacation, I think last year, visiting a friend, and my father fell in love with all things Greek, the scenery being primary in that. Corfu is a beautiful island, at least, according to their vacation photos.

  12. I’m looking forward to this trilogy. I dream of visiting Greece and until I get there in person, I can’t think of a better way than a book by Nora ;-). Can’t wait!

  13. Just finished reading Stars of Fortune can’t wait for the next one. Nora Roberts is my favourite author.
