Dark Witch, an excerpt

dwlarge

Dark Witch, book 1 of The Cousins O’Dwyer Trilogy, will be in stores on October 29.  Just four short weeks!

I had a chance to read Dark Witch over a couple of rainy August days.  The dark skies certainly set the tone and I loved the first meeting of the cousins.  Nora created such vivid images I wanted to throw on a heavy sweater, then set out in the cold and wet to find a cozy pub.

Of course, it was 90 degrees in North Carolina so I had to imagine the sweater and the firelit pub, but it was a lovely daydream.

Here, to set your own imagination on fire, is an excerpt: DW excerpt.

If you haven’t already done so, you can pre-order Dark Witch from many places, including Turn the Page Bookstore.

Slainte!

  1. I’m so excited for this book! I can’t wait, after reading this, I’m ever more excited! I’ve always been a NR fan. The Circle Trilogy was my favorite set so far. I was honestly amazed and fell in love with these characters. I’m looking forward to this book and can’t wait to start it!

  2. Okay – UNFAIR – now I have to WAIT??? That one chapter told me this will be the next “omg, I so love that trilogy”. 🙂 Nora in Ireland, witches, love, family… it just doesn’t get any better.

  3. Looking forward to the new trilogy. I remember reading Nora’s travelogue when she was at Ashford Castle.

  4. Already pre-ordered with Amazon! Love when Nora sets her books in Ireland (being that I’m from northern Ireland) cannot wait for the first book to be released in this trilogy!!!!

  5. Well, I can’t wait to read her newest trilogy book…and I can’t wait for October the 29th! It looks like from the cover of the book,it will b a great trilogy,I’m lookin’ forward to readin’ it. I’m still lookin’ forward to readin’ Whiskey Beach as well…I haven’t had a chance to read Nora’s newest stand~alone noval either…so I’m lookin’ forward to them both. Unfortunately, the Dark Witch excerpt wouldn’t let me get to read the preview of the trilogy book…so I don’t know what to do about that. I had tried to ”save the file” and then “find the file” (which was my only 2 options n order to get to read the 1rst chapter of Dark Witch),even tho it wouldn’t let me read it, but that’s ok,I’m sure that it’ll turn out to b a great trilogy set from Nora…she usually does write some great trilogys, tho. Good luck to those of ya’ll who can actually get to read the preview of Dark Witch…bcause I didn’t have any luck with it. Happy readin’ ya’ll!

  6. I’ve said it before. A book by Nora Roberts is going always going to go on my list of favorites. If said book happens to be set in Ireland, it shall surely end up on the Top 5! I can hardly wait!

  7. I can’t wait to read this book! I love it when Nora adds the paranormal to her books. It’s going to be the perfect Halloween read 🙂

  8. I actually met Nora when she was last in Ireland and staying in Ardmore, she even mentioned me in her travel diary. She was so nice and friendly and didn’t disappoint a huge fan, Cannot wait for her latest book.

  9. I think I missed this reading one and desparing for all the others to come feeling… and no I won’t – CAN’T 😉 – save it until I have all volumes to read on a row 😀 plenty years for that exercise, now I just want to gobble this as soon as I have each one of them in my hands.
Thank you for the excerpt, Laura! When I read the travelogues were still available on FB it reminded me of Mac “woo! we have the best system in the history of systems.” Much appreciated!
